About the Director

Jason Jones is originally from Salem, MA, where he began playing trumpet in fourth grade. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2002, and Master of Music Education from Gordon College in 2006. Mr. Jones studied trumpet with Walter Chesnut, Jeffrey Luke, and Eric Berlin; French horn with Laura Klock; and Conducting with Malcolm W. Rowell, Benedict Smar, and Gerald Dolan. Mr. Jones began teaching in Peabody in 2005. Before that he taught in Lynn, MA and Bishop Fenwick High School.
